Reverend Nigel Harris has been involved in youth and pastoral ministry for over 40 years. He is an ordained minister who is a graduate of the Bethel Bible College of the Caribbean (Barbados). Over the years, he has served the New Testament Church of God as District Youth Director, Zone/Parish Director and member of the National Executive Council.
Reverend Harris is married to Dr. Hyacinth Harris. Their two children, Dionne Gill and Darren Harris, and their son- and daughter-in-law, Neil Gill and Lisa Harris, as well as their five grand children, are all active in the ministry at Shorey Village, St. Andrew. Reverend Harris has been pastoring at this assembly since 1982.
The active divisions of ministry at Shorey Village are Youth and Discipleship, Women's, and Life Builders (Men). Each of these divisions is responsible for planning the services held on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, as assigned each month. The divisional Wednesday services are augmented by others such as "Mid-week Prayer", "From the Heart Ministries" and the "Reading Room", which focus on prayer, sharing of personal revelations, and the audible reading of Scripture, respectively.
