Dr. Kenroy R. Burke is a passionate, purposeful, people-oriented young man whose number one priority is honouring and serving God in everything He does!
Born in rural Crab Hill, St. Lucy and raised in the suburban district of Black Rock, St. Michael in the beautiful island of Barbados, Kenroy was the fourth of five children to a single mum who worked extremely hard and repeatedly reinforced the importance of education. He took her advice seriously and assiduously pursued his studies; so along the way, he earned certifications in Sociology, Psychology, Christian Counselling and Education.
However, it was his love for people that led him to an exciting twenty year journey in ministry and a twenty-six year career in education. He became a teacher at the early age of eighteen and eventually became the Principal of The People’s Cathedral School. He is a proud alumnus of the Bethel Bible College of the Caribbean – Barbados, formerly Barbados Bible College, an institution of which he eventually became President.
A trained Level 2 Chaplain with Church of God, Kenroy has held several leadership positions at school, in the church and in community life over the years. Whether it was captain of his football and cricket teams, president of several youth groups or his involvement in local church ministry, Kenroy has done it all with a servant’s heart.
Fast forward to today, Kenroy serves as the Chairman of the Caribbean Council and the Regional Coordinator of the Southern Region, Church of God World Missions in the Caribbean. He is the Administrative Bishop and National Overseer of the New Testament Church of God, Barbados. It is his added joy to serve as the Senior Pastor of Kingdom Empowerment New Testament Church of God in Cottage Land, St. George.
Those close to Kenroy are aware that family means everything to him. He is the husband of Natalie Janelle and they have one son, Zachary and a daughter, Zoe.
